How to Order

1. Choose Your Piece

Explore our wide selection of jewellery, all designed to incorporate meaningful inclusions. Whether you choose from our collections or opt for a custom design, each piece will be crafted to reflect your unique story and cherished memories.

2. Submit Your Inclusion

After placing your order, you will receive an Inclusion Kit containing everything you need to safely send your inclusion back to us. For ring orders, a ring sizer will be included to ensure the perfect fit. Please remember to return the ring sizer with your inclusion. You will also find a container to safely send your inclusion (breast milk, cremation ashes, hair, or fur), along with clear instructions on how to return it. Additionally, the kit includes a form where you can provide your ring size, colour, finish choices, and any personal details to ensure your piece is created exactly as you envision. Buyers are responsible for return postage.

If you’ve chosen a custom inclusion, I will personally reach out to discuss your specific requirements and send you the appropriate kit for your inclusion.

You are able to chose colours and additions as per this page of our website: Colour and Finish

Examples of finish choices are available in our Gallery which you can see by clicking here.

3. Crafting Your Keepsake

Once we receive your inclusion, our skilled artisans will carefully craft your jewellery, preserving the essence of your memory in a beautiful and meaningful way. Your inclusion will be mixed with high-quality, durable resin, which is then set into your chosen piece of jewellery. The process is thoughtful, ensuring that each piece is as unique as the story behind it.

4. Receive Your Timeless Keepsake

Once your piece is complete, it will be packaged with care and sent to you, ready to wear and treasure for years to come. Any unused inclusion will be returned with your finished item, with the exception of breastmilk, which is preserved for future remakes or additional orders.

Breastmilk & Colostrum

• Minimum of 2.5ml required (less can be used with a small amount of water added).

• Previously frozen milk is perfectly fine.

• Your milk will be preserved using a special method that turns it into a powder, which takes approximately five days. This preservation process ensures your milk will not mould once incorporated into your jewellery.

• Unused powder is kept in case you need a remake or want to order additional pieces in the future.

• Milk-coloured items are the default, but you can request colour customisation (block colours, a pop of colour, glitter, iridescent flakes, or opals). Opals are charged at an additional £5 per item.

Cord

Cord strands will be placed throughout your piece, either evenly distributed or in a specific area (such as a smaller stone inside the larger piece). Please contact me if you have a preferred arrangement for your cord.

Placenta

We can only work with pre-dried or encapsulated placenta. Please send one capsule for inclusion. The colour of the placenta will influence the final look of your piece. If you’d prefer the placenta not to be visible, we can contain it in a smaller stone or place it in a specific area of your item.

Cremation Ashes

A teaspoon-sized amount of ashes is needed, and the Inclusion Kit will include a suitable container. Cremation ashes have unique colours that can influence the appearance of your piece. If you prefer the ashes to remain hidden, please let us know, and we can place them under the resin for a more subtle effect.

Hair or Fur

Please send a good curl or tuft of hair for the best results. The quality of the hair will affect how visible it is in the resin. Lighter hair (blonde, white, or grey) may appear translucent in resin, as the pigment is lighter or non-existent. As a result, we cannot guarantee visibility due to varying pigments, but we will always do our best to select the best strands for the most visible result.

Custom Inclusions

We can work with a wide range of custom inclusions, including but not limited to pregnancy tests, fabric, soil, or embryos. If you would like to use a custom inclusion, please contact me directly to discuss your requirements. If you place an order for a custom inclusion without specifying details, I will reach out to ensure we get it just right.

Additional and Care Information

You must follow these care instructions carefully, we at Afallon DNA Jewellery do not accept any liability for jewellery that discolours, or becomes damaged due to the customer not following these care instructions.

Please be aware that your jewellery piece is made from sterling silver, this may have a chemical reaction with your skin and cause it to tarnish. A silver polishing cloth can clear and prevent tarnish.

Your piece is a unique genetically laced piece of irreplaceable jewellery. All DNA / Breastmilk & Keepsake Inclusions are primarily resin based. Resin is a beautiful medium, that requires care instructions to be strictly followed.

We recommend that clients remove all DNA, Breastmilk & Keepsake Jewellery before bed, bathing, showering, water & physical activities.

Exposing your piece to harsh & prolonged periods or sunlight, perfume, oils, hairspray,   essential oils, cleaning products, chlorine, salt water & silver polish ( on the Resin component ) will dramatically affect the integrity of your piece.

We recommend you remove your piece before using tanning solution, or hand sanitiser.

Cleaning Your Jewellery - A silver or gold based polishing cloth maybe used on the metal aspects of your piece. It is vital that you don't clean the " Resin " component with these cloths. The Resin component can be cleaned with a soft plain cloth.

Bumps and scrapes are sometimes unavoidable. If your resin piece becomes knocked or scratched please send us a photo and we can quote a repair.

We are happy to provide recasts or repairs within 6 months if all advice is followed - this does not cover accidental damage.

Storing your Jewellery - All jewellery should be stored away from natural light, heat sources, and in a jewellery box or tarnish - resistant pouch. Do not store in the bathroom or areas of high moisture.
